Kyneton Museum
Information: Kyneton Museum showcases the life and times of Kyneton and district, with a special emphasis on the period from the 1850s to 1930s. Kyneton Museum runs an interesting changing exhibition program, holds special events and houses the Kyneton Museum Collection ranging from teacups and shawls to carriages and farm machinery.

The Kyneton Museum is housed in the former Bank of New South Wales which opened in Kyneton in the 1856 and closed in 1904. At the rear of the museum are the kitchen, the laundry and buildings including the bluestone stables and buggy house. Other sheds and out-buildings onsite include the relocated Theaden cottage, built about 1838.

Kyneton Museum is owned and operated by Macedon Ranges Shire Council.
Events: Opening Hours: The Kyneton Museum is open 11 am to 4 pm Friday to Sunday and selected public holidays. Tours available by arrangement outside these hours.
