Kadina National Trust and The Farm Shed Museum & Tourist Centre
Information: The Museum aims to preserve, collect, interpret, research and display the history of Australian dryland farming; and the heritage and history of Kadina and the local farming region, from pre-settlement to the present day. Exhibits include an extensive collection of farm machinery and interpretive displays on farming lifestyle in the low rainfall zone, including displays featuring women and land clearing. In addition the early history of Kadina is interpreted alongside the mine manager's resident, Matta House, built in 1863. A schoolroom, refurbished in 1950's style, is a favourite with school groups. Open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday; and 10am to 3.30pm weekends and public holidays. Closed Christmas Day.
