Launceston Historical Society
Information: The Society's Object is stated in its Constitution as: the bringing together of persons with an interest in history and historical matters; the fostering of an understanding of the history of Launceston, the Tamar Valley and nearby districts and; the publication of works and papers having an historical interest.
Publications: The Society publishes the John West Memorial Lecture and the papers delivered at its annual symposium in its Papers and Proceedings. Occasional Papers are also published from time to time.
Events: Each March the Launceston Historical Society organises the John West Memorial Lecture. Monthly meetings are held from February to November.
