Port Broughton Historical Committee - Heritage Centre
Information: The aim of the Committee is 'to preserve our past for the future'. The present Committee was founded in 1993 but first formed in 1980 in just one Council room). The Heritage Centre operates out of an old school building with eight differently themed rooms including the Community Room; Plangon Dool Display; School and War Display; Kitchen/Dining; Distruct Council Room; Boat and Wheat Trade; and the Ladies' Room. The Centre opens on special days and 'any time' when requested - even for one.
Publications: Only in the local monthly paper 'The Echo' which is collated at the Heritage Centre.
