Port Macquarie Historical Society and Museum
Information: The Society/Museum is a voluntary, not for profit organisation committed to the conservation, interpretation and promotion of history and heritage in the Hastings region. The Society celebrated it's 50th Anniversary in June 2006. the Society has a large modern research centre containing a range of records including family files from around 1830; convict records from 1821; local newspaper records from 1880; maps and shipping records; births, deaths & marriage records; land grant information; and cemetery records. The Society is run and operated by dedicated and highly skilled volunteers.

Museum opening hours: 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday. Costs are $5.00 per Adult, $3.50 Concessions, Families of 2 Adults and Children $10.00 & Children $2.00 under 15.
Publications: The Society produces publications such as chronicles and occasional papers.
