Queensland Dairy Heritage Museum
Information: The Queensland Dairy Heritage Museum celebrates the pioneering spirit of our forefathers with some great displays. Wander through the grounds and museum (the Bank of NSW building built in 1920) and you will find an array of displays from early butter and cheese making to commercial equipment, several housing examples from an outstation hut to the axe hewn slab house to the first house built in Murgon. Butter churning demonstrations are available by request, when booking your tour. Visitors can participate if they wish. They can all sample the butter on a cracker biscuit. Cow motif souvenirs are available to purchase. Morning and afternoon tea and light lunches (sandwiches, tea coffee and biscuits) are available on request or bring your own and take advantage of the spacious area to relax. The museum is open 7 days a week, 9.30am - 12.30pm. or by appointment
