Information: The Society provides assistance with local and family history research through their research rooms at the local library, which are open three days per week. The Society aims to collect local history in any form; to preserve artefacts; and to educate and provide an understanding of local pioneers. Founded November 1974.
Publications: The Society publishes a quarterly newsletter and has a number of other local history publications available for purchase.
Events: The Society participates in Heritage Week; holds a Christmas in July dinner and raffle; and holds a market day at Sketchley Cottage on the last Saturday in August.
